Week 16.9 - Dreams

Some of you know that I have had some crazy dreams during this pregnancy - many of which I would blush to recount here - but last night's was worth a post!  Apparently, I was living in this big, old hotel (think The Shining movie) and I had a pet brown bear that followed me around.  To top it off, I was into making out with Corey Feldman.  Corey Feldman - WHAT???  I haven't even been watching The Lost Boys lately.  I had to go a little extra long on the elliptical this morning just to get that image out of my head.  Oh well, at least he's cute...

Week 16 - Oh boy, it's a BOY!

Yes, little Roman has decided to give us a glimpse at today's ultrasound.  We are thrilled to have one of each!  He really doesn't like to be bothered with the ultrasound poking him awake, but Kate loves to show off and remind us she's there too.  She's higher up, on my right side and he's hanging out in the lower left.  He'll be the first one born, based on positioning, but we have a LONG way to go before that day.  3-d ultrasound photos will be available in a few weeks.  They really do look like little aliens, but all fingers and toes are wiggling!   I have gained about 6 pounds total, which the doctor is pleased with.  Honestly, I don't even feel pregnant most days - just like I ate a big hamburger! Over and out...xoxo

Week 14.5 - You go, BB (girl)!
Hi, everyone.  Well, it looks like BB is our little Katya (Kate) Redko!  AA decided to be elusive today, and won't show us his/her parts, but we all think that's our boy. We'll try again for a view on March 26th.  Both babies are VERY active, twirling and showing off for the camera - gee, I wonder who they get that from?  LOL!  I finally gained two pounds, so yes everyone, I'm eating enough! No new clear ultrasound photos today, but another 3-D ultrasound in less than two weeks, so stay tuned to the gallery.  Feeling good, and can't believe it's almost 15 weeks.  Keep up the prayers and good thoughts - you guys are good at the positive vibes.  I'm so fortunate to have ALL of you in my life, old friends and new.  xoxo

Week 14 - A New Milestone
We made it!  14 weeks and no signs of complications.  And - knock wood - this pregnancy has been free of any morning sickness or major discomfort.  Mind over matter!  Since twins grow faster than singletons, we may know the genders very soon.  Ultrasound again tomorrow, and if anything has changed, you will all be the first to know.  Will take some "belly shots" (no, not the fun Tijuana bar kind) by the end of the month and post them in the Gallery.  Thanks for all of your prayers and good wishes!  Babies Redko will be here before we know it...

Week 13.5 - Good News!

Despite not being able to do the CVS (non-ideal positioning of twins), we were able to get my first trimester blood work back today, and all results indicate two very healthy babies. Hooray!  Feeling good and positive, as many of you know this is the week where I experienced problems with my last twin pregnancy last summer. NO issues, and another ultrasound on Friday.  We are watching these guys like a hawk.  It is looking like one girl and one boy, but we should know that VERY soon as well.  WOW - are we really doing this?  Getting a little tummy, but still in my skinny pants - at least until lunchtime.  LOL! Last night at step class, babies really started rocking out (tight belly) to "Funky Town."  Uh oh - what does that mean?  Disco babies?  God help us!

Week 12.5 - CVS Test Today

We are off to our CVS (Chorionic Villus Sampling) test in about an hour.  I'm a little apprehensive, but we are confident that everything will be fine and we'll know the results in 7-10 days. Amazing! I'm predicting two healthy babies, one boy and one girl, but we'll see what we are blessed with.

Yes, I'm quoting Miley, but it's a great song:

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb
